Anis is a certified RYT 200 by Yogshakti in Integrative Yoga. What touches her deeply about the yoga is the aspect of mindfulness and being present that is key to the practice. Anis is fascinated by the freedom, lightness and playfulness that the practice inspires. She continues her studies of yoga with her teachers Shilpa Ghatalia, Diane Long and Paddy McGrath.
Anis teaches Integrative Yoga which is a signature hatha yoga class at Yogshakti. It incorporates, pranayama (yogic breathing techniques), dynamic yoga asanas with fluid qualities of moving intuitively from the spine, and elements of Qigong to achieve relaxation in the body and stillness of the mind. Through this integrated practice of yoga, one not just achieve strength but also a calm and focused mind through being mindfully present which is much needed in our busy urban lifestyles.
Come join Anis on Thursday evenings or Friday mornings at the studio. Friday morning classes incorporates Yoga Nidra, which is a deep conscious relaxation to help calm the nervous system, release stress and better health.
