Marie-Claude Langlois

Marie-Claude is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT®) with Yoga Alliance. She completed 500 hours of teacher training in Integrative Yoga and an additional 150 hours in Yin Yoga.

Marie-Claude embraced sharing the practice of yoga in 2015 after becoming a RYT® 200 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Ever since, the joy of sharing the practice with others has been a great teaching in itself. This ongoing learning process has been supplemented by the participation in several continuing education workshops, online courses and the reading of many books to foster her understanding of mindfulness, meditation, anatomy, breathing, philosophy and nutrition. Her desire to keep deepening her knowledge and yoga practice led her to complete additional Teacher Training courses in Integrative Yoga and Yin Yoga. It’s after practicing yoga for many years, during and after her career in Marketing and Product Management that her passion for yoga truly emerged. She discovered the meaning of “Meditation in Movement” through her participation in several 21-day courses of Integrative Yoga with Shilpa Ghatalia. For once, the practice of yoga moved from a physical activity to a new understanding of the essence of Yoga as a whole. In addition to being truly transformed physically, emotionally and spiritually by her practice, she was touched by the teachings of the great Zen Master Thích Nhất Hạnh, Eckhart Tolle and the Yogic philosophies.

She believes that the practice of yoga is for, and can benefit everyone, regardless of shape, size, age and current physical and mental conditions.

She focuses on breath awareness and the fundamentals of Integrative Yoga, which is a practice of meditation in movement, with the aim of lightness of the body and stillness of the mind. The practice includes: Kriyas, Pranayama, Qi Gong, Mindfulness, a Spine centered Yoga practice influenced by Vanda Scaravelli, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Meditation, and is infused with the philosophies of Taoism and Non-Dualism. She studied under the guidance of Shilpa Ghatalia and Paddy McGrath.

She also loves to teach Yin Yoga, incorporating the Traditional Chinese Medicine concept of Qi (Chi) and the Meridian theory, as taught to her by Sebastian Pucelle and Murielle Burelier as well as her extensive readings and online studies from Bernie Clark’s work on Yin Yoga.
