The comprehensive syllabus encompasses a wide range of topics designed to deepen your practice and teaching skills. Key areas of focus include:
  • SCARAVELLI INSPIRED YOGA teaches us to move from the spine with fluidity, ease, and lightness. When the body aligns with gravity, the breath flows naturally along the spine like a wave, awakening and lengthening it.
  • YIN YOGA encourages surrender and connection to the vast intelligence within. It improves flexibility, joint mobility, and the circulation of chi (life force) throughout the body.
  • YOGIC KRIYAS & PRANAYAMA cleanse, energise, and revitalise the body, while bringing clarity to the mind.
  • MINDFULNESS & MEDITATION fosters equanimity, mental clarity, emotional intelligence, and the ability to approach ourselves and others with kindness, acceptance, and compassion.
  • YOGA NIDRA is a healing and restorative practice that induces a profound state of relaxation, releasing deeply rooted tensions in both the gross and subtle body.
  • STUDY OF CHAKRAS involves an in-depth exploration of these energy centres, unlocking their potential through asana, pranayama, meditation, and Yoga Nidra to understand the anatomy and psychology of the subtle body.
  • INTEGRATING THE BUTEYKO METHOD INTO YIN YOGA enhances practices by focusing on breath regulation for greater balance and clarity.
  • QI GONG develops internal energy, focus, and a sense of grounding, helping to centre the mind and body. Integrative Yoga teaches us to move from within, creating a profound sense of joy and bliss that permeates every cell of the body.
  • PHILOSOPHY draws on the teachings of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and Advaita Vedanta.
  • AYURVEDA AND THE YOGIC DIET offer guidance on nourishing the body and mind in alignment with yogic principles.
The 300-hour (RYT) course will consist of two 150-hour modules.

Course Prerequisites: To qualify for the 500-hour RYT Yoga Alliance certificate, you must have completed a 200-hour RYT course at Yogshakti or any Yoga Alliance-registered school.

Teaching After Completion: Graduates will gain opportunities to teach and practice their skills to deliver meaningful and well-prepared classes.

Part-Time Option: The course is split into two modules, with up to 2 years to complete either one or both for certification.

Online Option: If you completed your 200-hour training at Yogshakti, the entire 300-hour course can be completed online.

Online Option for Integrative Yoga Beginners: New learners should attend one of the two 150-hour modules in person at Yogshakti, and then complete the remaining 150 hours online. Upon completion, you will be ready for certification.

Module 1

Scaravelli Inspired Spinal Yoga forms a key part of Integrative Yoga. When combined with Qi Gong, it encourages inner movement, alignment with gravity, and a sense of fluidity and lightness. This module explores how Qi Gong integrates with Scaravelli Inspired Yoga and Yin Yoga. Integrative Yoga features 12–20 minute sequences blending elements like Qi Gong, Yin Yoga, Scaravelli Inspired Yoga, Pranayama, Kriyas, Bandhas, Mindfulness, and Yoga Nidra to create a balanced practice.

Rooted in Non-Duality philosophy and Taoist principles, it incorporates concepts like wei wu wei—an effortless action in harmony with nature. You will learn to design sequences focusing on areas such as hip opening, sun salutations, backbends, core strength, inversions, standing flows, and twists.

Patanjali’s Sutra III:29 states, “Concentrated attention on the primordial navel center brings understanding of all bodily systems.” Moving from this center, known as the Hara or Dantien, connects us to our inner presence. Integrating Qi Gong, rooted in the Taoist tradition of Master Yang Mian, with Scaravelli-inspired yoga brings balance, ease, and fluidity to movement, turning it into a meditation. Qi Gong harmonizes effort and relaxation, embodying the Taoist principle of Wei-Wu-Wei, or effortless effort, as stillness in motion.

You will learn:

  • Qi Gong practices integrated with yoga sequences
  • Teaching from presence and guiding students into presence
  • Qi Gong techniques for standalone practice or to pair with Yin/Yang asana
  • The 8 Dynamic Spinal Movements inspired by Yoga Synergy

A deep exploration of the chakras, focusing on the subtle energy body and awakening them through mantra, visualization, and asana. Discover how to create an asana practice centered on the chakras and guide students in practices that activate and open each one using postures, breathing techniques, bioenergetic exercises, mantras, meditation, and yoga philosophy.

This section focuses on awakening the spine and cultivating clarity through Scaravelli Inspired Yoga. By freeing joints and engaging deep muscles, movement shifts to the spine, creating a harmonious relationship with gravity. Backbends become a “dance of the spine,” allowing the body’s natural intelligence to emerge, leading to joy, freedom, and lightness. Interactive sessions will help participants adapt practices to their needs, fostering confidence and understanding.

Key topics include tensegrity, support structures, movement, the head-tail connection, hands and feet, injury management, and rediscovering natural movement.

Pranayama is the gateway to awakening the sushumna, the central energy channel. The goal of pranayama is to breathe less while cultivating awareness. This session will explore a range of practices, from basic diaphragmatic breathing to advanced techniques that promote sushumna activation.

You will learn:

  • Pranayama, Bandhas, Mudras, and Kriyas that complement Scaravelli-Inspired Spinal Yoga
  • Ways to incorporate principles of the Buteyko method into asana practice

Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is a deeply restorative meditation technique that bridges the state between waking and sleeping, fostering profound relaxation and healing.

You will learn:

  • Techniques to guide students into deep relaxation, both short and long sessions
  • The principles of systematic relaxation from the teachings of Swami Satyananda Saraswati and Swami Rama of the Himalayan tradition

This module focuses on exploring and breaking down asanas in-depth, including standing postures, backbends, forward bends, inversions, and twists.

You will learn vital tips, verbal and tactile cues, modifications for all levels (including beginners and pregnant students), effective use of props, observation skills, posture benefits and contraindications, and safe teaching practices to enhance flexibility, balance, and strength. Additionally, you’ll have opportunities to practice teaching.

The philosophy of non-volitional living, or non-dualism, aims to cultivate a balanced state of mind in all situations. The ultimate goal of Yoga is stillness of mind, as this leads to experiencing the true essence of Yoga. This involves practices engaging the body, breath, and prana to return the mind to its source. Non-volitional living, as described by the sage Huang-po, is about freeing the mind from attachments and acting without purposeful intent, leading to unpolluted wisdom.

This module explores Self-Enquiry (“Who am I?”) through three practices: sravanna (listening to teachings), manana (contemplating them), and niddhidhyasana (meditating to realize one’s true nature).

Yoga is both a philosophy and a lifestyle. The sutras provide the foundation for asana practice and guide us toward self-realization. By studying the sutras, we enrich our practice and inspire students to integrate these teachings both on and off the mat. You will explore the sutras and learn practical ways to apply them in your classes.

Our diet is a vital aspect of a Yogic Lifestyle, supporting breath control and calming the mind. You will learn to prepare wholesome vegetarian meals that are nutritious, easy to digest, and light. The course covers food combining, remedies for gut health, and the profound connection between the gut, mental well-being, and immunity. With a focus on satvic foods—pure, plant-based, and nutrient-rich—you will use natural ingredients, spices, seeds, nuts, super grains, and healthy fats to create simple yet delicious dishes.

You will learn:

  • Healing tonics for digestion and ailments
  • Fermenting for probiotics
  • Sprouting techniques
  • Ayurveda-inspired recipes

Module 2

We will explore Yin sessions focused on Qi Gong, meridians, Pranayama, Buteyko method principles, mindfulness, Scaravelli-inspired yoga, and Yoga Nidra.

You will learn to create themed Yin sequences and offer adjustments for beginners, pregnant women, and students with special needs.

Yin Yoga offers a chance to cultivate mindfulness through natural breath awareness. By letting go of control, the breath finds its own rhythm, helping sustain deep Yin postures.

You will learn to:

  • Design themed Yin sequences
  • Use props for modifications and adjustments
  • Combine Qi Gong, Meridian Science, and Chakras with Yin
  • Integrate pranayama and the Buteyko method into Yin practice
  • Guide students in mindfulness using the 4 foundations of mindfulness
  • Blend Yin Yoga with Scaravelli-Inspired Spinal Yoga

Yin Yoga offers a gentle yet profound opportunity to truly rest and simply “be.” Through the practice of pranayama, or breath awareness, the breath becomes a powerful tool for guiding us into a state of meditative stillness. Pranayama serves as the gateway to awakening the central energy channel, with the ultimate aim of cultivating slower, more mindful breathing. Throughout this practice, we will explore a variety of pranayama techniques designed to enhance and deepen the experience of a Yin Yoga session.

This practice offers a focused exploration of the chakras, aiming to awaken and energize them through mantra, visualization, and asana.

You will learn to design asana sequences centered on chakra activation and guide others through techniques such as bioenergetic exercises, breathing practices, mantras, meditation, and yoga philosophy to open and balance each chakra.

In meditation, when the thinking mind rests, the working mind awakens, allowing us to connect with intuition—an inner knowing beyond external knowledge, silent and free from judgement. This awareness is cultivated in Integrative Yoga through relaxed alertness and presence in action.

You will learn how to guide students into meditation, both in dynamic and seated practices, along with preliminary techniques leading to meditation.

This module consolidates key learnings from Module 1 and offers practical teaching experience. You will explore:

  • Vital tips
  • Verbal and tactile cues
  • Modifications and adjustments for all levels, including beginners and pregnant women
  • Using props to enhance and adapt postures
  • Observation techniques
  • Posture benefits and contraindications
  • Guiding students safely to build flexibility, balance, and strength.

The philosophy of non-volitional living, or non-dualism, cultivates a balanced state of mind under all conditions. Yoga’s ultimate aim is stillness of mind, allowing one to connect with its true essence. This is achieved by guiding the mind back to its source through practices involving the body, breath, and prana. As Sage Huang-po explained, non-volitional living is freeing the mind of attachments, allowing unpolluted wisdom and spontaneous living to emerge.

In this module we will undertake the study of Self – Enquiry (WHO AM I?) through the means of:

  • sravanna: listening to the teachings
  • manana: contemplating the teachings using the instrument of the mind
  • niddhidhyasana: meditating on and the experience of one’s true nature i.e. Yoga

Yoga is more than a physical practice; it is a philosophy and a holistic way of life. The sutras serve as the foundational guide for asana practice and provide a roadmap to self-realization. By studying the sutras, we gain the tools to infuse deeper meaning into our practice, enriching not only our time on the mat but also our lives beyond it. Through dedicated study and application, we can inspire our students to cultivate skillfulness both on and off the mat. You will have the opportunity to explore the sutras in depth and learn practical ways to incorporate their wisdom into your classes.

I have finally completed the second module of my Integrative Yoga journey. The focus on meditation and qi gong was lovely. I am now able to sit with ease for meditation, and I feel competent to guide my students into that state as well. The atmosphere at Yogshakti was lovely as usual. I feel this journey has showed me the way back home, taught me how to detach myself from the ego.
The teachings and self-practice is my way to heal myself. It feels so right and natural to share my practice with others, and I am sure that this path will continue. I really feel that we have learned so much from each other during the sharing sessions. Now that the course has ended, I will definitely miss my second home here at Yogshakti.  I want to thank Shilpa for guiding me into the right direction on my yoga journey.
Kim

It was such a blessing to be taught by Shilpa on the yoga asana and the philosophy of Yoga. I feel that the alignment, postures, and the concept of tensegrity would stay with me for life. They are such a healing and safe practice for the joints and body. Also I truly believe the philosophy that was shared to me by Shilpa will help guide me in my life journey in times of challenges and difficulties.

Shilpa has given me a shift of perspective in how I view my life, and that is truly priceless as I continue to navigate my life journey. Thank you Shilpa!

It is with my most sincere and heartfelt gratitude, that I wish to thank Shilpa for the wonderful, insightful, and timeless teachings of Yogshakti’s Integrative Yoga. In a mere 9 months of learning from you, through the beautiful voice and comprehensive notes of the books, I have transformed in many ways, as though I am here to pick up thousands of years of wisdom, learnings, and remembrance of who I truly am.

Each time you shared the teachings and learnings from the scriptures, I would glue my ear to listen and I enjoyed the philosophy behind all the teachings. The integrative movements of yoga asana and qi gong are brilliant as it brings forth tremendous transformation of my own body, mind, and soul. I have experienced deep transformation to my body resulting in the lightness of the body and spontaneous meditation. Above all, it is the step-by-step fundamentals of each movement and asana that bring forth the clarity and effective teachings that I’d love to share with my students. Thank you with love and light.

Coming to the end of the 300-hour course is heart-warming and I feel immense gratitude for this experience, all the knowledge gained, Shilpa’s understanding and compassion, my family’s support and for the journey of healing, love and peace. The experience had filled me with courage, strength, confidence and joy to continue my practice in stepping back from conditioning and with equanimity, letting go as I return home to love.
I never imagined Yogshakti’s Integrative Yoga, through slow movement, breath awareness and profound philosophy would bring so much lightness, ease and healing to the self and to all those around me. This is a practice that truly transforms, awakens and inspires! Thank you Shilpa.
Asa Wallmark

We’ve had so many beautiful practices and tools that have been shared with us on this course. It is amazing how these tools have allowed me to come to that state of meditation where I detached myself from any thoughts. It is a fabulous feeling to return to that ‘home’ and be able to feel that inner peace within.

The Chakras segment of this module has been an eye-opener, I have begun to become aware of certain emotions, feelings and belief systems that I never knew I had. From the first day when I stepped in to Yogshakti, the first practice, I understood that Yoga is not just a physical practice but it is so much more that that – to me, it is about taking care of myself from the inside out. Thank you!

The 300 hours Teachers Training at Yogshakti Life was a challenging, intense, transformative, and rewarding experience. Shilpa’s passion to dive deeper into yogic philosophy, different yogic schools, and practices, to extract the most relevant elements from them, and to combine them into a unique program is extremely inspirational.

Shilpa’s approach to teaching is professional, focused, and inclusive, she accepts each and everyone as equal, she teaches from her heart with love and compassion. Shilpa’s philosophy of “Listening to your inner teacher” led me to better self-understanding and enhance my personal practice and my teaching. The 300 hours Teachers Training curriculum was well thought out, a beautiful blend of physical practice, breathing, meditation, Ayurvedic lifestyle, yoga philosophy, and contemporary scientific research. The training expanded my knowledge about Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and my understanding of how the ancient yogic wisdom is relevant and applicable in our contemporary life. This course had a profound effect on me not only as a teacher but as a human being. I am ever grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the first 300 hours Yogshakti Life teachers training program, to learn Yoga and Yoga philosophy with Shilpa and with that very special group of yogis. I highly recommend 300 hours Yogshakti Life Teachers Training program to everyone who would like to acquire a better understanding of Yoga and Yoga Philosophy or for those who would like to take the path toward personal transformation and development. Yogshakti Teacher Training has been one of the most profound experiences of my life. I have done plenty of courses on the mind, body, and spirit before but they have just kept me more solidly up in my head, my ego, so that when I left the course I was fearful that I would forget what I learned. This teacher training is the only course that I have experienced where the learning comes through my body. I am not learning anything new, I am just remembering what is inside me, and doing so, it is impossible to forget. My connection to my Hara will change my life forever. Thank you.

If you are looking to advance your knowledge of yoga, deepen the methodology behind it, and really have an understanding of its philosophy and meaning then you need to look no further. Here you will be guided and inspired by the course’s founder Shilpa Ghatalia will teach and assist you with deep love and care. She brings a lifetime of knowledge to this course by creating a unique way of sequencing the asana practices and then blending them into the meditation and philosophy of non-dualism.
She has called her yoga style ‘Integrative Yoga’ and the name is extremely apt, for you will learn not just classical Hatha but several full and rounded combinations and sequences to include Yin yoga, Qi Gong, and Scaravelli techniques (the latter put together in a fun and inspiring light-hearted way by Paddy Mcgrath who assists in the first module). For me, the highlight was the meditation and mindfulness practices which were done together in the early morning and our fascinating philosophy chats in the late afternoons. Shilpa truly embodies and lives what she preaches and teaches and her life for all her students is so genuine. Her teaching always seems as though it’s personal to you! You will also learn about your body and how to live in a healthier manner, you will learn about the ancient science of Ayurveda and under the guise of her amazing cook, Marlene, you will learn how to cook wonderful meals and food combinations to strengthen your body. This course is truly holistic and conducted in a beautiful space set amongst greenery and dappled sunlight. The studio is light and spacious and offers accommodation if needed subject to availability. Your course will also cover some functional anatomy made relevant to common injuries that you might come across in class as a Yoga Instructor. This is a course therefore for those who have already taken a step along their yogic path with a 200 hour but who wish to develop themselves further as teachers. I left this course with far more teaching tools than I had when I started and I felt really empowered as a teacher. I know that I can offer so much more to my own students in the future thanks to this course and this is what every yoga teacher needs when advancing their practice. I enjoyed every minute and would love to do it all over again!

Yogshakti is specialised in an Integrative approach of Yoga and it is a perfect combination to traditional yoga that I have learned during 200TTC. I am also very Grateful to complete the 300hTTC with Shilpa. Shilpa is a beautiful person and her unique approach to yoga gives me a certain openness to the heart to create. I really enjoyed this part as Yoga can be approached in a different ways and we can practice with modernity. Namaste me Dear Shilpa for your beautiful being.

Marie-Claude Langlois

The Teacher Training Programs at Yogskakti are extremely powerful. The teaching from Shilpa comes from so many years of experience and wisdom. The teaching also comes from a place of peace, love, light and joy that is not a transferred theoretical knowledge, but rather one of experimental knowledge. You truly get an in-depth understanding of the true essence of yoga as a whole, not just as a physical practice but as what it was originally meant to be: Yoga.

The teaching goes beyond the physical practice of asanas and bring to life a sense of freedom and an approach to self-discovery that is so liberating. Personally, over the last 5 years, the practice of Integrative Yoga has totally transformed by body, but more importantly, my way of being and my conception of life and suffering. Integrative Yoga is a practice that includes: Kriyas, Pranayama, Yang and Yin approaches to asanas, a spinal centered yoga that is influenced by the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli, Yin Yoga principles, Qi Gong, Mindfulness, Yoga Nidra and Meditation, all infused with Non-Dualism Advaita Vedanta and Taoism philosophies. Part of the teaching were also dedicated to Ayurveda and Yogic Diet. The 300-hour Teacher Training course allows the students to get deeper in their own practice of yoga on and off the mat. The asanas are done in a way that brings lightness in the body and stillness in the mind. The practice and discussions, allow students-teachers to explore and discuss in more details the principles of the practice, the philosophy and their experience as practitioners and teachers. The program really lives up to its saying that Integrative Yoga is “Meditation in Movement”, we experienced it daily. While the 200-hour TTC is wonderful at teaching the principles of Integrative Yoga to find the lightness in the body and stillness of mind, the 300-hour TTC goes deeper in the practice and allows for more time to explore the philosophy and the subtle elements of the practice. We practiced many new techniques influenced by the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli and the new science of movement. They were brought to us by Shilpa and master teacher Paddy McGrath to find even more lightness in our body. We practiced asanas from the spine and away for pushing and pulling with our muscles in a linear way. So many ways to use our whole body and central nervous system in movement that recognizes the importance of our fascia making every parts of us connected as a whole and recognizing also the applications of the principles of tensegrity. All of which, leads to freedom and lightness and embodiment of the Taoism concept of Wu-Wei, non-doing, effortless effort. We got deeper in understanding how our practice affects the five sheaths, or koshas of our being. We got a deeper understanding of our energy body as we learnt more in-depth knowledge about the Chakras and practiced Qi Gong, new Pranayama, and centering in our inner self reservoir of life force (Hara, Lower Dantian) to move and express ourselves from within. Meditation and deep relaxation through Yoga Nidra are core to the teaching. Philosophical questions are discussed and meditated upon daily. Who am I? is contemplated. The concept of non-doership is explored. The Sutras of Patanjali are explained and discussed. Our life on and off the mat is observed and serve as daily discussion topics. The opportunities for personal growth are immense. I am so grateful for the teaching. I would recommend to anybody and everybody.

My 300 hours course of teacher training was an outstanding achievement both for me and trainer Shilpa Ghatalia of Yogshakti school. Shilpa is a highly effective and structured instructor who made the 300 hours training a truly magical experience of exploring Integrative Yoga. I consider Yogshakti the best yoga school in Kuala Lumpur, West Malaysia.

Yogshakti TTC has been a wonderful experience. The learnings are comprehensive from aspects of Yoga Philosophy, Anatomy, Asana, Meditation/Mindfulness and Yogic Lifestyle. Shilpa’s teachings are amazing, humble, full of grace yet firm.

What I like about it is that she relays the practical application of yoga for our daily life and shapes positivity in overcoming daily challenges; coupled with the asana and prayanama breathing practices on the mat; I find it has helped me practice off the mat too! Shilpa’s teachings at Yogshakti has truly awaken my inner teacher <3
Marta Fjellheim

It saved me in so many ways, thought me yoga Nidra, the benefits of meditation being transferred into the postures in my yoga practice, a blue yoga teacher training, how to pass on relaxed energy to my students. So grateful for the opportunity to study under Shilpa Gatalia a wonderful soul on this earth.
