Basic Hatha Yoga is based on the teachings of the late B.K.S. Iyengar. This method offers a safe and systematic progression of asanas to develop an individual’s ability. Quality of movement is prioritised over quantity. Poses are held longer to allow tight muscles to lengthen and relax and to raise awareness. Yoga props such as blankets, blocks and belts are utilised to facilitate learning and help with adjusting poses.
