Getting Started

You don’t have to be able to touch your toes or do the splits. Our classes will help you develop flexibility, strength and harmony towards a more calm and focused mind. Yoga starts on a humble mat but has profound effects on a person’s well-being and if practised regularly can even slow the ageing process.  With regular practice – on the physical level you will feel: Improved flexibility; strength, stamina;  posture; reduce excess weight; easy and graceful movements; better elimination and a more efficient functioning of the body systems such as the immune, hormonal, skeletal, muscular, circulatory, nervous and digestive systems.

Consistent practice will lead to a spontaneous lightness of body and mind, a sense of natural energy, wholeness, vitality, joy and well-being on all levels.  Yoga’s greatest advantage is that it can be practised by anyone, irrespective of age, gender and physical condition.

Our Recommendation

For best results we recommend you attend classes at least 2-3 times a week. Even after just one yoga session you will notice that you are more calm, can sleep better and are generally more cheerful.

Flexibility of attendance

At Yogshakti we offer you the flexibility of attendance so that you have the freedom to attend classes based on your preference and convenience. Depending on the class package you buy, they are valid anywhere from 2 to 6 months.

You can also expect:

•   Technique: precision, alignment and awareness in performing the poses
•   Sequencing to develop strength, flexibility, stamina, concentration and relaxation
•   Clear demonstration and explanation
•   Individual correction and adjustment
